The Peak Pioneers Experience

How we think about our week together

The Peak Pioneers itinerary blends real outdoor skills, environment and ecological education, physical activities and games, and emotional and artistic experiences. Throughout all these activities we encourage our pioneers to explore social skills, leadership and teamwork, and personal growth and development. Children leave our camp with real world skills, joyful memories, a sense of achievement, confidence, and new friends.

Whether your child is a budding adventurer or a first-time explorer, our programmes are thoughtfully designed to meet every child at their level and bring out the very best in them.

❋ Made For Every Child

We're selective about who leads our camps. All of our guides are professionally qualified mountain leaders who are as passionate about working with children as they are about the outdoors.

❋ Guides You Can Trust

Peak Pioneers meets the highest standards of outdoor education and child safety. Our programmes are fully accredited and insured, so you can relax knowing everything is taken care of.

❋ Accredited & Insured

We know you’re on holiday too. We work closely with you and your accommodation provider to keep drop-offs, kit lists, and packed lunches simple, so you can make the most of your time in the mountains.

❋ Your Holiday, Too

We know there is nothing worse than booking something and then having no contact until the morning of the experience. After you register and in the run up to the camp, we will contact you so that you and your child know what to expect and feel excited about the week to come.

How It Works
  • Book the week you want and name your accommodation when you book.

  • After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list and equipment recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more. We’ll also contact your concierge and share your child’s itinerary with them in advance so that they can prepare to help you with transport and lunches if needed.

If you have ordered our Adventure Bag it will be waiting at your accommodation when you check-in.

  • We’ll send a short video from your child’s guide for the week and a child friendly version of the itinerary

  • In the week before your arrival we’ll send you a reminder and confirm any arrangements with your concierge.

  • On the morning of your first day we’ll greet you and your child camp’s base camp, which is the same location for all groups, and make sure everyone is comfortable and clear about the week ahead. Sometimes this can be a wobbly moment for children but don’t worry we are very used to this. If you expect your child to be nervous or tearful please let us know how you’d like to approach this, whether it’s a dump-and-run strategy or a longer handover. We’ll take your guidance!

  • Throughout the week we’ll keep you updated with messages from the guide and if you every need to let us know anything you’ll have all our contact numbers

  • At the end of the week the high-quality photos will be published. We take privacy seriously so you can rest assured that no pictures of your children will appear on our website or social media.
