Your Questions, Answered

  • We welcome children ages 5-14. Children are split into three groups, based on age, and we plan exciting, age-appropriate activities for each stage.

  • We are an English language camp, taught by amazing local guides.

  • Yes of course! We’ve designed a curriculum so that if children attend camp two weeks in a row, they will experience different activities, though there will of course be some overlap between the weeks.

  • We will send out a detailed packing list well ahead of camp starting each week. We ask that you pack clothes for all weather possibilities, plus water, lunch and snacks.

Our Adventure Bag contains: 2 water bottles, rain coat, sunglasses, and other fun accessories and can be added to your basket.

  • Every day will be different, and is planned to maximise both fun and education in nature. There will be lots of hiking and exploration, as well as team-based challenges and practical skill building.

  • If you let us know ahead of time, we will try to make sure friends end up together. However, we won’t be able to put friends together if they are in different age groups.

  • Safety is at the core of every Peak Pioneers programme. All activities are carefully planned and led by qualified mountain professionals with training in risk management, first aid, and child supervision. We continuously assess weather conditions, terrain, group dynamics, and individual needs, adapting plans where necessary. Children are encouraged to explore and challenge themselves within a well-managed, safety-first framework.

  • We operate with small group sizes to ensure close supervision, personal attention, and a high-quality experience for every child. Guide-to-child ratios are carefully set based on age group, activity type, and terrain, allowing our team to manage safety effectively while building strong relationships with each group. For the two younger groups, we have a maximum of 10 children per two guides. For the oldest group, the maximum is 12 children per two guides.

  • Risk management is a core part of our planning and daily operations. Routes and activities are selected carefully, weather is monitored continuously, and contingency plans are always in place. Our guides are trained to identify potential risks early and make informed decisions to keep groups safe while still allowing children to experience appropriate challenge and adventure.

  • Our programmes are designed with flexibility in mind. If weather conditions change, activities are adapted or relocated to ensure safety and comfort. In the event of an emergency, our guides follow clear, established protocols and communicate promptly with parents. Children’s wellbeing always comes first.

  • No problem! Feel free to reach out to us with any questions you still have.
